WORSHIP
Lizella Baptist Church seeks to lead the congregation in a call to individual worship throughout the week and to collective worship when we gather together. In joint worship we find strength, encouragement and fellowship. In private worship we find meaning and direction. Both or needed to grow in Christ and we seek to lead our congregation to the throne of God each time we meet.
Our worship style is blended with Hymns, psalms and spiritual songs. We bring together the old with the new songs making use of a praise band, choir and visual enhancements. God is a mighty God meeting today's needs and He is worthy of vibrant, enthusiastic praise from His children.
ADULT MUSIC MINISTRY
The Joyful Praise Choir is open to all ages 17 and up. The JPC ministers through music and leads in worship each week during our morning worship services. We strive to provide music that is uplifting, encouraging in the faith along with exciting gospel selections. Seasonal music and dramatic presentations is also a ministry of this choir.
The Golden Voices Senior Adult choir is designed for anyone ages 55 and onward. This choir presents gospel and seasonal selections throughout the year. Our Golden Voice's desire is to reach out into the community in various venues and facilities to provide an uplifting message of the hope found in Christ. The fellowship and commitment of this choir is evident in the love they share in their music and lives.
The Praise Team is a select adult ensemble that provides selections for worship on a regular basis. This ministry team has been presented at several state and local events.
Voices In Praise, a select ladies ensemble brings an exciting celebration of worship to our services.
The Praise Band is a small ensemble of electric and acoustic instruments that accompany the congregational and choral singing of the church. This group is open to advanced musicians with a skill in a wind or string instrument upon auditioning for the worship director.
The Ladies Handbell Choir rings a three octave set of Melmark Handbells. This ensemble rings year round. Music reading abilities are not necessary but the ringer will need to learn basic rhythmic skills as they are trained to ring their assigned bells.
YOUTH MUSIC MINISTRY
Our Youth Choir ministry is open to all middle and high school youth. This choir will meet during the school year and provide musical selections on regular bases in the evening worship services. We will prepare exciting music written to meet the spiritual, musical and vocal needs of the young voice.
Our youth also have the opportunity to lead in the youth worship times. The worship leadership group is coordinated through our youth ministry teams and will meet with the youth leader at a separate time from the youth choir practice.
CHILDREN'S MUSIC MINISTRY
Preschool Choir is offered for 4-5 year olds. Through participation, the Preschool Choir provides musical adventures for the younger musician as they are taught the basics of God's love through music. The Preschool choir presents heart-warming presentations for parents and the church family.
The Children's Choir is available to students from the first through fifth grades. This choir provides music opportunities in both small and large group settings. Basic instruction in the Bible, music and worship is provided for the spiritual and musical development of the child. The choir provides musical settings along with dramatic presentations throughout the year.
Our children's music program offers small groups opportunities in praise team and handbells. The leadership of the Children's Choir program is committed to teaching with a heart for the child and for Christ.
